woodfashioners ltd is a family run organisation of makers that build bespoke and sustainable exhibition stands, events, retail displays and furniture for businesses and individuals across the UK and Europe.

From our state-of-the-art workshop in Manningtree, Essex, we manufacture innovative physical experiences using intelligent design, efficient production and personal project management that bring events, exhibitions, homes and businesses to life.

It is always our goal to ensure we operate in a sustainable way - which means ensuring that our social, economic and environmental impact is net positive. Getting to net positive is a challenge, but we are determined to get there and will continue to update stakeholders on our progress as we go.

The Ryan Brothers

Alf “the woodfashioner” Ryan started out as a carpenter in 2008, operating from the shed in the back garden of our family home. Over 10 years he successful built a business with a close group of clients that trusted him to deliver on the most weird and wonderful builds. He quickly made a name for himself as a reliable exhibition build parter for design agencies and great local carpenter for bespoke home furniture projects.

After outgrowing a number of London based workshops, he decided to make the move over to Manningtree in Essex where he could invest in more space and machinery.

In 2018, the woodfashioner became woodfashioners ltd when JJ Ryan became part of the business, bringing international business and sustainability management experience. Since then, the organisation has continued to grow rapidly, focusing on a combination of events, exhibitions, retail and home carpentry projects.
